Terms of Service

Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Cutslate. By using the service you agree to them. This English text is a translation; the Korean version prevails.

1. The service and who runs it

Cutslate is a self-service AI creation tool: from a story you write or a product photo, you make content such as carousel cards, short-form videos and product motion ads yourself. You pick a format and a drawing style and write what you want; the AI proposes a draft, and you review and edit it to finish the piece. Cutslate is software you operate yourself, not a production service that makes work for you.

The service is operated by LIVEMATCH CO LTD, Republic of Korea. Business details are on the contact page and at the bottom of every page.

2. Your account

  • You sign in with a Google account. You must be at least 14 years old to create an account.
  • Your account is for your own use; you may not transfer or lend it. You are responsible for activity on your account.
  • During the beta, you can sign up with Google without separate approval. You can browse without signing in, but entering content or using creation features requires sign-in. External reviewers can use a separately provided test account.

3. Credits

  • Credits are a usage unit for generation inside the service. They are not money, points, store credit or a gift card; they have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred or resold.
  • You receive 60 free credits once when you sign up, plus 6 free credits a day and 20 free credits a week when you visit while signed in (missed days and weeks do not carry over). Extra free credits granted on a support request are also free credits. Free credits do not expire. Free credits are not refundable.
  • Purchased credits are valid for 365 days from the payment date. Free credits are used first, purchased credits after.
  • The credits each action needs are listed on the pricing page and are deducted when a generation starts. If a generation does not happen because of a system error or similar, the deducted credits are restored automatically. Making something again because you do not like the result is a new generation and costs credits again.
  • AI video generation is available with purchased credits only.

4. Payment and right of withdrawal

Credits are bought as one-time credit packs on the pricing page; there is no subscription that renews automatically. Prices include VAT. You must be at least 18 years old to make a purchase.

  • A credit pack is digital content delivered to your account immediately. Credits left unused within 14 days of payment are refunded in full, no questions asked, and credits still remaining after that are refunded under the Refund Policy.
  • Credits already spent on a generation cannot be withdrawn, under Article 17(2)5 of the Korean Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce; we tell you this and ask for your consent at checkout. If you are an EU consumer, by starting a generation you request immediate performance and agree that you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal for the credits used.
  • If something is wrong with a payment, please contact support before filing a chargeback with your card issuer.

Details are in the Refund Policy.

5. Your input and responsibilities

  • What you put into the service is written text (such as your story and settings), selections from our catalogs, and product photos for a product motion ad. You cannot upload photos of people, video or audio files.
  • You keep the rights to the text and photos you provide. You must have the right to use them (including any trademark or logo in a product photo), and you allow Cutslate to process them as needed to run the generation you request and to store and display the results.
  • You are responsible for checking that the facts in your results (figures, effects, prices, testimonials and so on) are true and, for ads, that they are disclosed as ads.
  • Characters come from our catalog of synthetic people or from fictional characters you describe in writing (“my model”). Voices are chosen from the voices we provide; there is no voice cloning.

6. Prohibited uses

You may not create the following content or use the service in the following ways.

  • Imitating a real person’s face, voice or name without consent, content that makes a real person appear to say or do something they did not (deepfakes), or impersonating another person or organisation
  • Content that sexualises or suggests the sexualisation of minors, or sexually explicit content
  • Content that glorifies or encourages violence, self-harm or terrorism, and hate, discrimination or harassment
  • Disinformation, false or misleading advertising, or endorsements that hide that they are ads
  • Content that infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark, likeness or privacy
  • Promoting illegal or regulated goods or services (such as drugs, weapons, illegal gambling or adult services), or instructing or encouraging illegal acts
  • Circumventing safeguards, automated bulk requests, exploiting vulnerabilities, earning credits by abuse, or selling or transferring credits or accounts

Requests and results are checked by automated filters, and a request that does not meet these rules may be refused or may not produce a result. The deducted credits are then restored.

7. AI-generated results

  • AI results can differ each time, even for the same input, and similar results may be produced for other users. No particular quality or expression is guaranteed.
  • AI can get facts wrong, so check the content before you publish it. Health, medical, financial and legal information is not a substitute for professional advice.
  • Results may carry a marker that they were generated by AI (for example in the file metadata); you must not remove it. When you publish a result, you are responsible for disclosing that it was made with AI, including by using each platform’s AI label.

8. Rights in results

  • Within these Terms you may use your results freely, including commercially for ads and sales promotion. Where your input contains third-party rights, the results remain subject to them.
  • Assets we provide, such as music, voices, fonts and characters, may be used only as part of results made with Cutslate. You may not extract them to distribute or sell separately, or use them as AI training data.
  • Cutslate does not guarantee that a result is exclusive to you or can be registered for copyright.

9. Sharing and the public gallery

  • Anyone with a share link can view the work without signing in. You can turn sharing off at any time.
  • Other users can start a new piece in the same format from a work you shared or published (a remix), or continue it as a next episode. Only settings such as the format and drawing style, plus a plot summary, carry over; the original text and media do not.
  • Cutslate may show works published to the public gallery on the service and on its official channels to introduce the service. If you do not want that, unpublish the work or ask us.

10. Reporting content

If you find content that breaks these Terms or infringes your rights, send the content’s link to support@cutslate.com. We reply with the outcome within 3 business days, and clearly illegal content is taken down as soon as it is confirmed.

11. Suspension and termination

If a violation is confirmed we may block sharing of or delete the content, take back credits obtained by abuse, restrict use or close the account. Serious violations are acted on without prior notice and may be reported to the authorities as the law requires. Unused purchased credits are still refunded under the Refund Policy. You may ask us to delete your account at any time. If Cutslate shuts down the service, we will give 30 days’ notice and refund unused purchased credits.

12. Limitation of liability

Except in cases of intent or gross negligence, Cutslate is not liable for damage caused by events beyond its control, such as natural disasters or outages of external services, or for damage caused by content you create and publish. You are responsible for claims and damages brought against Cutslate because of your violation of these Terms. To the extent permitted by law, Cutslate’s liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the damage occurred.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes are resolved by the court with jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act. This English version is a translation; if the two differ, the Korean version prevails.

14. Changes and contact

We announce changes in the service 7 days before they take effect (30 days for changes unfavourable to users). Questions: support@cutslate.com.
